Footed Tidbit Plate

This is an oldie but a goodie.   There are many cakeplates made in BlogLand and I wanted to share this one that I made for my Christmas goodies.  Keep in mind that any combination made with a flat top as the base is possible, so keep your eyes open for something that will be creative and beautiful on your table.  Also, you can use smaller size plates as I did for this project.

I chose a footed dessert cup that I found at Home Goods and a Red Polka dot salad plate.

This is a quick, easy and inexpensive project.  The plate and footed dessert bowl were 2.99 each and you just adhere them with E6000 and let dry for 24-72 hours.

Imagine how cute and festive this will look on a dessert table topped with cookies or brownie cut-outs.  Yum.
All the best,

Oh what a great idea. I love it. Now I have seen all kinds of these gorgeous cake plates but they are always so expensive that I just passed them up. You have created such a beautiful one of a kind. LOVE IT!!!!! Hugs, Marty

Sweet Anita~I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit and leave feeling inspired!

Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts with several carb loaded dishes in between! We will be enjoying tryptophan playoffs too!

Sweet Holiday wishes,
Sara

That is a great idea and so inexpensive. It looks very much like the "witchey shoes" cake plate I showed on my Halloween Tablescape for Kid's post a few weeks back.

Just found your blog Anita and I'm really enjoying it! I love this project and not only could I use this myself since I'm hosting Christmas Eve with the family, but I think this would be a great gift, too. Thanks for the inspiration!
