Tabletop Tuesday - Living/Comfort Room Corner

Paula Deen refers to the Living Room as the Comfort Room...I think I agree with her on the idea.  A room has to be comfortable and serve several functional needs in order to be doing the right job.  I don't have a Great Room, so my Living Room serves as my Family Room and definelty my Comfort Room.

I rearranged a little corner of my Living Room to make a comfy reading nook.

I've used double lamps on my side tables for something differant and to provide plentiful light for reading.  Touches of red brighten up the space.

A great book for eye candy is Paula's Savannah Style.  Beautiful gardens and homes around Savannah with decorating tips from Paula's Assistant.

I'm joining Marty from a Stroll Through Life for her weekly party - Tabletop Tuesday.  You can click on the link to be whisked over to visit with Marty and link to all the beautiful tabletops displayed.  Have fun!!

Double lights in a reading nook is smart thinking!! With my aging eyes and low lights, I am at the point of considering large print books!!!

Your corner is wonderfully cozy...and I love the red pears!

What a great look! Love the overstuffed big chair and lamps on both sides, perfect! Oh and look at you, love the cherries in the bowl! They are delicious this time of year, just got some Saturday!

I wish my living room was my comfort room. Instead, we call it "the museum". There is not a comfortable place to sit in the entirety. I could just sit in your overstuffed chair and read all about Paula Deen!

Great concept "A comfort room"! And if you can't have a whole room for it, a nice comfy chair and ottoman fits the bill! Love the reading nook you've created. I have something similar in my little office and just love spending time there. I need more lamps! Great idea to double it up for reading!

Oh what an inviting spot. I love the idea of double lights. That looks fabulous. The red fruit, cheeries and the candles along side the wedding pic make a beautiful vignette. I really need to get that book. I keep hearing about it and everyone says it is really a good one. The chair, ottoman and pillows really invite you to sit and relax. Great corner. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

I want your chair. I'm dying to have a comfy chair with an ottoman...sometime soon I hope. I've never thought of double lamps...I like the look!
