Entry Foyer - Tabletop Tuesday

I wanted to be sure that I participated in the very first Tabletop Tuesday, hosted by Barb at Grits and Glamour.  Love being a Charter Member of such an 'exclusive' and fun event.  If you need some eye candy, click here.

I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever get everything back to normal, after packing up all the Christmas goodies. I seem to be moving a bit slower than I have in the past...like super slow motion. This vignette is from my Foyer and includes a 'vintage' look picture of my oldest GB, Alden, taken when he was three and sporting a bomber jacket.

I used shades of brown with a little pop of green in the variegated vine.

A little white bowl to pick up miscellaneous items like keys, change etc. keeps clutter to a minimum and echos the white platter on the wall. I need to pull out my Cricut and put a monogram on that platter (note to self).

On the other side of the Foyer, an cute little occasional table that I picked up on a recent antique shopping outing. A simple vignette of books and a cute little elephant balance a scrolled plate.

All The Best,

I love that little "half-table". I have one too. I never thought of painting it black, but for sure I am going to do that.
My walls are a similar color to yours. Don't you just love 'em?
Have a great day.

Love your foyer tabletop displays, Anita! Your foyer reminds me of mine ~ I have a chest as well and right now I'm struggling to get it back in tune after the holiday decorations were put away. I can't go too crazy because our house is going back on the market, but I really need to do something. Thanks for the ideas!

I would love to wander thru your home and take in all the beauty that you've created. I just love your style! Those vignettes are lovely! I am like you in that things are slower this year to get back in place after all the holiday decor got put up. I am still working on it, actually! This motivates me, though, so maybe I'll share!

Everything looks beautiful! Great job accessorizing! I love the bomber jacket too. My hubby, who is also a pilot, was just looking at some for our 3 year old. They love anything to do with airplanes!

I came by to get all caught up on your blog and what you have been up to. I have missed quite a bit. Google messed up my postings again and in Dec didn't post any of my posts for 3 weeks. A lot of my RSS feeds went missing as well, if you aren't getting my stuff you might trying signing up again.
