Chocolate brownies are one of the most versatile desserts around. Quick and easy to prepare, they are ready at a moments notice for hungry guests. They can be dressed up or down and can be modified to work in casual or elegant entertaining. I love brownies -- they are a go-to dessert at That Old House! I have another "frosting" that I use -- I put chocolate covered mints --thin mints-- on hot brownies, right out of the oven, let them melt for a moment or two, then spread them over the brownies. heaven.
