Happy Birthday To My Aldie

There are few more joyous occasions than birthdays, where we celebrate life and love.  Alden turned six years old on Wednesday Jan 27.  This seems so unbelievable to me on one hand, that he can already be six and then on the other hand, it seems like he has been a part of our lives forever.  His birthday party will be tomorrow, but we could not let him go empty handed on Wednesday night, so after everyone was home from work we paid a visit and had a quick treasure hunt to find a small surprise.  Nothing fancy or elaborate, but he loved it.

X marks the spot - start here....'digging' underneath, he found a clue of where to look next.

Had to get a hug for a clue in there somewhere

Final clue leads him to the prize.

I would do anything on this earth just to see this happy face.

Alden has to spend the night at least once a week with us and visits as much as he can get away with after school.  He is always full of hugs and kisses and telling us he misses us.  He is so fun to be around and has a great imagination.  You never know what he will do next from putting on my lipstick to be the Joker, to sticking rubber worms all over his body, lightsaber fighting which can break out at any time and you would be surprised at the various items that can be used as lightsabers.  He also loves to talk and made sure to keep Santa and Mrs. Claus engaged in deep conversation this past Christmas.

Happy Birthday my precious boy!!

All The Best,
Pin It!

How cute! My grand daughter turned six on the 27th! If you go to my blog you can see her picture. I think children born on 1/27/04 are especially creative!!

G'eve ~ What a smile this puts on my face. We used to do a 'treasure hunt' on Christmas gifts using the scriptures as clues ... then one day Joshua about broke my heart when he informed me he was TOO OLD to do this anymore.

Happy birthday Aldie. Enjoy your party.

Have a beautiful weekend.

He's too cute, Anita! I remember doing a scavenger hunt for my son one year for his birthday. I typed up a bunch of clues that would lead him to the next clue, which eventually led him to his gifts. He loved it and remembers that to this day {he's 19 now}.
