Silver Sunday III - This and That

I'm joining Beth at Gypsy Fish Journal for Silver Sunday.  To see Beth's contribution as well as other beautiful silver from around blogland, click here.

Silver Cake Pedestal topped with my amazing $1 cloche yard sale find from 2009.  Perfect fit.

Miscellaneous Serving pieces that I have collected over the years...some are gifts from my Mom.

Silverplated Santa Serving Spoon and Fork set.  Found this a few years ago and love to use it on my Christmas table.  These are very large, about 14 inches long.

Silver Compote.  One of my favorite pieces of silver...love the detail on this piece.

New find for polishing my silver.  My husband was watching me slave over polishing some pieces last weekend and he said, I have something in the garage that you need to try.  He brought this in and I read the label to be sure that it was good for silver and gave it a try...it worked like a charm...this is the easiest product that I have ever used...you tear off a piece of the wadding and after a couple swipes, wash your piece in some warm water and it shines like a jewel....notice I said a couple swipes, not hours of rubbing and polishing...you need to give this a try.  Thanks Honey!!

All The Best,

Your silver is all just stunning. I love the cakestand. It is gorgeous and the cloche is wonderful. YOur compote is so intricate and beautifully carved. All the serving pieces are such a fabulous find and wonderful heirlooms too. But I think the best of all is the tip on the polishing stuff. I just need to find some. Thanks for the advice. Hugs, Marty

Wow, what a fabulous collection of silver serving pieces...love the little ornate ladle. I hadn't heard of Eagle One, will have to see if I can locate it. It would be worth it when polishing large trays! Thank you for sharing.
