Traditional Red and White for A Valentines Day Brunch

I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch this week, with a casual but elegant tablescape to celebrate Valentines Day.  I have been blessed with being able to spend my life with a partner who is my best friend and confidant.  The table is set in my breakfast nook in anticipation of a sweet VD brunch.

A cherub naps on the table, resting up for his big day.

Silver chargers, handpainted white dinner plates from and red salad plates

Small silver trays are used to hold votive candles at each placesetting.

Candlelight is a necessary indulgence for any romantic meal.

Along with being beautiful, candlelight makes everything sparkle gently.  The low light makes the detail on the setting really stand out.

A crystal butter dish that I found at an antique shop.

A footed majolica dish holds faux cherries.

Coffee cups in the same pattern as the dinner plates.

I hope you enjoy this special day with your sweetheart.

Charger - Hobby Lobby
Dinnerplate - Castleware by Tabletops Unlimited
Salad Plate - Bella
Flatware - Gallery from Southern Living At Home
Glassware - Emerson from Southern Living At Home

It is just beautiful..elegant and sweet and inviting all at the same time. I think the way you used the cherries tipped over in the cup is very clever too. You did a lovely job!

Those cherries are making my mouth water! They look so lovely in that white majolica.
I also ♥ your antique domed butter dish. I have a similar one & should use it more often instead of saving it. :/
Very pretty tablescape, Jammi.

I love how you criss-crossed your silverware over the plate. That adds an interesting touch to your place settings. Everything looks so pretty! I love those faux cherries, too.

Anita, this is very pretty. The sleeping cupid is so cute just waiting patiently for brunch. Are the flowers hydrangeas! I adore the bowl the cherries are in because it displays the contents so nicely. Thanks for sharing the love, Joan @Americana By Candlelight
