I found a really cute idea on the Michael's website for painting apothecary jars. The materials and instruction seem pretty simple and could be used to paint any glass item...I'm thinking cake domes, glasses, Large storage jars, etc.
I can see possibilities for teacher gifts, Halloween storage and display,
Christmas, etc. A cute gift for a girl's room would be to paint a cute apothecary jar in her favorite color, and using a theme - a ballet slipper, princess, flowers, etc. and filling with ribbons to be worn in her hair, or necklaces for play time, etc.

My mind is boggled with the possibilities and I'm headed to the craft store this weekend to buy some of this paint.
What possibilities do you see?

These are so cute. Thanks to you I see all kinds of possibilities! Thanks and thanks so much for stopping by. Love your blog!
Hi there, Anita...I have done this and believe me, painting..anything is addictive. I did the glass thing..but never could get it to go through washing. I no longer have a dishwasher..by choice...so I would not have a problem now. I have WAY too many paints. I learned not to over buy paints..and to have excellent brushes and to take the very best of care of them. I treasure my brushes. I bought paint colors...though lovely, I will never use. I am in the process of throwing out a lot of them..they do get old!
Have fun... :) I cannot wait to see what you paint. It is exciting. I even painted my kitchen island with wild flowers...and it is so cute. I stopped painting when I moved...everything was in storage but...I think I am going to go back to it.
I will be trailing along to see how you do. I AM not artist...so..I was a wee self concious.
IT'S fun. :)
